The role of the Local School Council is to:

  • Give parents, teachers, community residents, and the principal an opportunity to share in the process of arriving at decisions, which affect the school at the local level.
  • Make recommendations in order to improve school programs.
  • Participate in discussions regarding the operational effectiveness of the school.
  • Provide input into the budget expenditures for instructional purposes.

The purpose of the Parent Advisory Council is to give parents opportunities to discuss concerns and assist in making decisions that affect and impact all facets of their children’s educational and social development.

Parents are always invited and encouraged to become involved in their child’s education by attending monthly parent meetings, workshops, assembly programs, field trips, parent patrol, and working as classroom volunteers.
